Abstract: Women′s oral health will be influenced by the mood and physical change during pregnancy. The gingivitis and periodontitis are the most common symptoms of pregnant women. The correlation between periodontal
disease and preterm birth and low birth weight has been investigated and debated in recent years. This study was carried out a review about the effects of periodontal disease on preterm birth and low birth weight.
