Abstract:

Glass ionomer cement(GIC) used as filling material has many superorinary characteristics, so it is widely used in clinic. Unfortunately, its adhesion is neglected by clinicians since it was introduced to the profession. This article will review about the component and setting mechanism, adhesion mechanism and the factors which influence the adhesion of GIC.
