Microcracks associated with ultrasonic root-end preparation

Abstract:

Ultrasonic root- end preparation techniques have recently been introduced and revolutionized the field of endodontic surgery. The ultrasonic devices permit the preparation of conservative and straight cavities. However, investigators have different reports that microfractures can occur due to the vibratory action of this instruments. This article reviews the literature on microcracks associated with ultrasonic root- end preparation.
