Effect and regulatory mechanisms of mechanical strain on the expression of core binding factor-α1

Abstract:

Core binding factor(Cbf)-α1 is an important transcription factor which is necessary for bone modeling and bone remodeling. Mechanical stress is regarded as a key factor for the regulation of bone remodeling. This article was to review the structure of the Cbf-α1, the relationship between Cbf-α1 and bone remodeling, recent research progress in regulation of mechanical forces on the Cbf-α1 expression.
