Reconstruction of the three dimensional model of left supramaxillary first molars of wild giant panda

Abstract:

Objective To explore an easier and more precise method for three dimensional finite element model reconstruction about wild giant panda tooth in Qinling mountain with CT scanning images. Methods A three dimensional finite element model of left supramaxillary first molar was constructed by CT scanning images and using Mimics generated image processing and editing software. Results The three dimensional finite element model of left supramaxillary first molar was successfully constructed on compute. Conclusion The established model of the giant panda tooth is relatively complete and precise. It can facilitate the further dental research.
