Abstract: Growth differentiation factor-15(GDF-15) is a member of the transforming growth factor-β(TGF-β)superfamily, involved in the physiological or pathological progression of tissue differentiation, inflammation, traumaand neoplasms. This article reviewed the structure of GDF-15, the relationship between GDF-15 expression and neoplasms development and progression, and the regulation of GDF-15 expression.
