Abstract: Hedgehog signaling pathway is an important signal pathway, which regulates the development of variety of tissues and organs in the embryonic stage. It also plays an important role in osteogenesis. This review discussed the relationship between the hedgehog signaling pathway and osteogenesis in several aspects, including the relationship between the hedgehog and osteochondral cell, the effect of hedgehog on bone development and the role
of hedgehog in osteogenesis with gene therapy techniques.
