Research progress of maxillofacial space infection

Abstract: Maxillofacial space infection occurs commonly in the maxillofacial region. Infections can spread along these underlying fascial spaces causing multiple spaces infection with life threatening complications. This article reviews the research progress in the aspects of diffusion path, microbiology, treatment of maxillofacial space infection.
