Abstract: Adenoid cystic carcinoma(ACC) is one of the common malignant tumors in oral and maxillofacial salivary glands. Nowadays, the main treatment of ACC is radical surgery combined with postoperative radiation therapy. However, there is an incomplete control of local recurrence and distant metastasis. This article summarizes some information about the current development of the treatment of ACC in chemotherapy, radiotherapy and genetic and molecular therapy through reviewing the lately corrective literatures, in order to improve clinical treatment of ACC.
