Advances in the research on oral cancer in young people

Abstract: Oral cancer in young people is probably a new disease other than that in old ones. In recent years, there are ever increasing epidemiological evidences for a rise in oral cancer rates amongst younger individuals worldwide. Therefore, it is of the greatest importance to study the epidemiology, risk factors and molecular mechanism of the oral cancer in this sub-group for preventing the development and improving the prognosis. This article reviews the advances in the research on oral cancer in young people from the above aspects.
