Abstract: Denture stomatitis is a common oral mucosal lesion in complete denture and removable partial denture wearers which mostly affects the palatal mucosa. The pathogenesis of denture stomatitis is uncertain. Studies have showed that there is a close relationship between Saccharomyces albicans and denture stomatitis. This article reviews the advances in the research on the etiology of denture stomatitis.
