Abstract: The clinical success of oral implants is related to their osseointegration. Chemical composition and topography are crucial for the success of dental impants. With the development of nanotechnology, the modification of surface roughness at the nanoscale level becomes one of the major research interest. This review focuses on the chemical composition and topography on nanoscale implant surface.
