The lastest advancement of dentur e base cleansing and antimicrobial activities

Abstract: Polymethyl methacrylate is the most frequently used denture base material in clinic. Dental plaque and calculus would deposite on denture surface in oral cavity, this results in many harmful effects for oral tissue. This article reviews the new findings on denture base cleansing and antimicrobial activities from two aspects, one is denture base surface treatment, the other is incorporating antibacterial agents into denture base.
