The effect of poster ior teeth loss for temporomandibular joint

Abstract: The goal to restore tooth- loss includes denture integrity and functional rehabilitation. In recent years, some authors propose remaining anterior and premolar teeth are enough for function of stomatognathic system. Nevertheless, most authors presumed posterior teeth loss effects not only mastication, speech, outlook, but also the stability of temporomandibular joint. Dentists should make proper therapy according to signs and symptoms. This
article reviewed the alteration of condyle, articular disc and blood flow after posterior teeth loss.
