Abstract: Titanium and titanium alloys are widely used as dental implant materials. But the environment of mouth is complicated. The influential factors such as food, toothpaste, gargarisma and different metal prosthesis will affect the oxide film of the surface of titanium and titanium alloys and affect the corrosion properties of the titanium and titanium alloys. Then they will affect the biocompatibility and function and lifetime of the dental implant, even lead to the failure of the implant. The article focused on the influential factors on the corrosion properties
of titanium and titanium alloys.
