Abstract:

Rapid maxillary expansion is a method which is often being used to treat the transverse discrepancy of widths of maxilla. The objective of this study was to review and summarize the progress of the effect on the skeletal and dental changes with the treatment of rapid maxillary expansion combining the recent internal and aboard articles and to supply the instruction on its clinical application and scientific research.
