Abstract:

Aesthetic crown lengthening surgery usually aims at a healthy, good- looking, functional and comfortable result. For this purpose, a careful examination should be given before the operation, which is determinant to the right diagnosis. During the surgery, there are many necessary preparations, such as determinatin of the position, the ratio of crown to root, the distance between the surface of the tooth and the crest, the right method forpapillae management and coordinating with adjacent teeth. Then, the following restoration should be at the right time. Also, we should carefully choose subgingival margins. This review addresses on the above clinic problems, in
hope of giving suggestions to clinicians.
