Abstract:

With the rapid development of oral techniques and materials, clinical treatment has been developed gradually from single removable prostheses or fixed prostheses to fixed-removable prostheses, according to the special cases during clinical treatment. The kind of therapy has a good effect on complicated tooth defect or dentition defect, especially on distal extension defect. This is a kind of prostheses which could restore aesthetical and comfortable need of the patient. Therefore, it would have a good application prospect in the future. In our article,we mainly summarized the types and application issues of fixed-removable prostheses from the clinical aspects,and lay the foundation for clinical practice.
