• Dr. Dingming Huang, DDS, PhD is a professor at the West China School of Stomatology, Sichuan University. Currently, He is also the chairman of Operative Dentistry and Endodontology Department, West China Hospital of Stomatology. Dr. Huang is a member of International College of Dentists, one of the senior fellows of both ‘Operative dentistry and endodontology’ and ‘Geriatric dentistry’, Chinese Stomatological Association and the chairman of ‘Operative dentistry and endodontology’, Sichuan Stomatological Association.

    He graduated from West China School of Stomatology, Sichuan University for his DDS and PhD. Subsequently, he continued to study Cariology, microbiology in endodontics and minimally invasive technology in his post-doctoral fellowship and visiting scholar program at Dental School of Osaka University, University of Hong Kong, and University of Pennsylvania. He majors in Endodontology on the etiology, diagnosis and treatment of endodontic diseases, responsible for 5 items supported by National Natural Science Foundation of China, 6 items supported by Sichuan Science and Technology Foundation. Up to now, he has published more than 100 papers. He won the third prize of Chinese Medical Research Achievements, the first prize of Sichuan Science and Technology Progress Award, the first prize of Science and Technology Progress of the Ministry of Education and the second prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award. As a tutor, more than 30 post-graduate students have been trained and received their degrees. Dr. Huang has been especially good at micro-endodontics, such as microscopic root canal therapy, endodontic microsurgery, intentional minimally invasive tooth replantation and pulp preservation technique of damaged pulp.
