Wenli Lai, DDS., PhD., professor, Director of Orthodontic Department，West China School of Stomatology, Sichuan University. Professor Lai completed her dental degree in West China University of Medical Science in 1989 and received her Phd degree in Orthodontics from West China University of Medical Science(Now merged with Sichuan University in 2000) in 1994. From 1999-2001,She worked as a post doctoral reseacher in Niigata University Japan.
Professor Lai is a member of standing committee of Chinese Orthodontic Society,, vice chair of orthodontic committee Sichuan Stomatological Association, fellowship of International College of Dentists, membership of World Federation of Orthodontists. She is a reviewer of AJODO, Archives of Oral Biology、European Journal of Orthodontics、Angle orthodontists, European Journal of Oral Sciences、International Journal of Oral Science, West China Journal of Stomatology, Journal of pain and Plos One.
Her research interest focuses on basic and clinical research of orthodontic pain mechanism. She has taken charge in 4 National Scientific Funds China, 7 Sichuan Scientific Funds, 5 international research programs and published over 120 essays included 50 SCI papers (3 Journal Dental Research papers), edited several professional textbooks.
