Dr. Junqi Ling is a professor and Ph.D. supervisor of Department of Operative Dentistry and Endodontics in Guanghua School of Stomatology, Hospital of Stomatology, Sun Yat-sen University. She is currently the Honorary Dean of Guanghua School of Stomatology, Hospital of Stomatology, Director of Guangdong Provincial Key Laboratory of Stomatolog, and the Director of Institute of Somatological Research in Sun Yat-sen University, Fellow of International College of Dentists (ICD), Vice president of Chinese Stomatological Association, Ex-chair of Society of Cariology and Endodontology of Chinese Stomatological Association, Chair of Society of Dental Health Service of Chinese Stomatological Association, Deputy director of In-service Training Committee for Dental Hygienists of Chinese Stomatological Association, Vice president of Chinese Stomatologists Association, Director of Continuing Education Committee of Chinese Stomatologists Association, Deputy director of Stomatological Committee for Education after Graduation of Chinese Medical Doctor Association, Chair of Guangdong Stomatological Association, Director of Dental Education Committee of Guangdong Stomatological Association, editorial board member of Chinese Journal of Stomatology, Honorary editor-in-chief of Chinese Journal of Stomatological Research (electronic edition).

Dr. Ling presides 23 national, provincial, ministerial grants in the areas of Cariology, Endodontology and Stem Cell Biology. Dr. Ling has received over 10 national and ministerial awards for her contribution to scientific research and education in dentistry, including First Prize of Science and Technology Award from Chinese Stomatological Association, First Prize of Guangdong Province Science and Technology Award. Dr. Ling has published over 420 scientific articles, over 100 of which were published in SCI indexed journals. Dr. Ling published several books as chief author, including Microscopic Endodontics, Endodontics, Therapeutics for Apical Periodontitis, Pre-clinical Training Course of Operative Dentistry and Endodontics, Apical Periodontitis of Immature teeth, Advanced Course of Oral Medicine, Standardized training textbook for residents Oral Medicine. She also participated in the writing of over 20 books and national textbooks. Dr. Ling has mentored 9 post-doctoral students, 50 Ph.D. students and 68 postgraduate students.
