Aim & Scope
International Journal of Stomatology (ISSN 1673-5749, CN 51-1698/R) published bimonthly, is a peer-reviewed journal, hosted by Sichuan University. The journal is aimed at doctors, medical researchers, educators and health workers in the field of oral science. It focuses on leading scientific research achievements and clinical diagnosis and treatment experience to promote the development of the discipline.
In 1974, Foreign Medical Reference Materials (Stomatology Volume) was established in 1974, published by peer review, bimonthly. It was responsible by Sichuan Medical College.
In 1979, it was renamed as Foreign Medical Sciences (Stomatology) (ISSN 1001-1188, CN 51-1135/R).
In 1985, it's sponsor was changed to West China Medical University.
In 2005, it's sponsor was changed to Sichuan University.
In 2006, it was renamed again as International Journal of Stomatology (ISSN 1673-5749, CN 51-1698/R).
International Journal of Stomatology is sponsored by West China School of Stomatology of Sichuan University. The editorial department at the school serves as the executive office of the International Journal of Stomatology and comprises professionals and staff with rich experience in journal editing and administration.
The West China School of Stomatology, Sichuan University, was founded in 1907, which marked the beginning of modern dental education and training in China. Over the past 100 years, the school has won the admiration of dental researchers and professionals worldwide. The school is progressing rapidly in dental education and academic research, and for 20 years has been placed at the top of the Chinese national rankings of dental schools.
International Journal of Stomatology seeks to publish the best research from all aspects of oral science and related interdisciplinary fields, including basic, applied and clinical research. The journal publishes fully peer-reviewed Expert Forum, Expert Consensus, Original Articles and Research Reports, Reviews, Case Report, and other columns.
