Abstract: Dentin matrix protein-1 is an essential non-collagenous protein in dentinogenesis. It is believed to play a crucial role in the formation and mineralization of dentin, although the mechanism requires further study.
The expression orientation, gene structure, biological function and regulation of dentin matrix protein-1 in dentin and bone was reviewed in this paper.
