Abstract: The early clinical experiences with posterior composite restorations indicated there were many clinical challenges, for example secondary caries, restoration fracture, post- operative sensitivity, marginal staining, and bulk discoloration. This paper reviews what is known regarding current clinical challenges with posterior composite restorations, and attempts to get some clinical datas for improving the clinical outcomes of this restoration.
