Abstract: Chincup therapy, a kind of extra- oral appliance in orthodontic practice, is effective to control functional mandibular protraction, to do orthopaedic treatment of skeletal mandibular protrution and skeletal open bite, and to reduce side- effect of maxillary rapid expansion. So far, there are many studies to search for this appliance on its indication, long- time effectiveness, biomechanic mechanism and so on. The topic was some information of
recent research on chincup therapy.
