Abstract:

Objective To test the DNT of human herpes virus- 5 and 8(HHV- 5 and 8)located in four kinds of samples obtained from minor recurrent aphthous ulcer(MiRAU)patients using the real- time fluorescent quantitative PCR. Methods Samples of the saliva, exfoliated cells, biopsy tissues and the blood of 18 MiRAU patients and 23 health persons were simultaneously collected in one patient or person by oral medicine specialists. They were exactly determined by the real- time fluorescent quantitative PCR. Results The HHV- 5 positive rate in MiRAU
biopsy samples had significant statistics difference with their health controls(P<0.05). However, the HHV- 5 positive rate in MiRAU saliva and blood samples did not have significant test with their health controls (P>0.05). In
another part, we did not find the DNA of HHV- 5 in exfoliated cells of both groups and HHV- 8 in either group. Conclusion It is supposed that HHV- 5 may be concealed in immune cells and duplicated in oral small salary gland tissue cells on account of characters of recurrent occurrence and the heal postponement in MiRAU patients.
