Research progress on anatomy and clinical applications of mandibular nerve communication

Abstract:

In recent years, numerous domestic and foreign researchers have reported on nervous communication between branches of the mandibular nerve. Communication was documented between the lingual and mylohyoid nerves, inferior alveolar and lingual nerves, inferior alveolar and auriculotemporal nerves, or inferior alveolar and lateral pterygoid nerves. In addition, the mandibular nerve possibly communicates with other nerves. This article reviews the related issues of mandibular nerve communication to guide clinical operations and promote relevant research.
