Abstract: Facial nerve injury is a very common disease in oral and maxillofacial surgery. It is important to comprehend the regenerating mechanism of injured facial nerve to get ideal functional recovery. It′s known that the regenerating mechanism of injured facial nerve involves much complicated cellular and molecular interactions. The process includes neural axon, neuron and non- neurocyte interaction and signal conduction. It′s reviewed that advanced research on regenerating mechanism of injured facial nerve in this article.
