Abstract:
Taste buds are gustatory organs of the body which administer the sweet, salty, acid and bitter taste. Recent researches have investigated that the genesis and development of taste buds are important relationship with gustatory nerves. The injury or depletion of the gustatory nerves would cause a serials of changes on taste buds. This review summarizes new finds in the morphous, function and related factors of taste buds after denervation.
