Abstract: Myoepithelial carcinoma, also named malignant myoepithelioma, was a new kind in WHO′s classification of salivary gland tumors in 1991. It is a scarce salivary gland malignant tumor, and the number of these patients is no more than a hundred in domestic and abroad′s reports. This tumor was known as a special kind of adencarcinoma or malignant mixed tumor. Because of the different morphous of tumor endepidermis, the tumor tissue and cellular structure are diversity. There still lays many disputes in its diagnosis and therapeutics. This article had an overview about the research progress of its histology, pathologic diagnosis, differential diagnosis, and therapeutics.
