Development of studies on comparative proteomics of Streptococcus mutans

Abstract: The announced Streptococcus mutans genome sequence recently makes its comprehensive proteome map analysis possible. Streptococcus mutans in proteomics research will further reveal the molecular mechanism of its carcinogenicity. Comparative proteomics is an important branch of proteomics, so the paper review development of studies on comparative proteomics of Streptococcus mutans in several aspects, such as the comparative proteomics research of Streptococcus mutans to acid reaction, the comparative proteomics research of planktonic -state and biofilm-state Streptococcus mutans and so on.
